why has this happened?? i noticed it when we got back from vacation a couple of weeks ago, but it's increased in the "bleaching". it's not been in direct sun--while we were away we had alot of rain. it's potted in some bark, but i'm about to repot it in lava (good idea?) rock or mount it as "psyched" suggested earlier today..
and--what are those small dark spots on leaf at the top of the photo?? i truly appreciate all your input--i have learned much. it's just very difficult for me to distinguish between serious symptoms and non serious ones!
My guesses are sometimes not so good, but...the dark parts of the leaf could be suffering "leaf tip dieback' which is called a 'cultural' problem; could be caused by overfertilizing or undissolved salts, but in our zones it is more often due to heat stress.
The same could be causing your chlorotic growth - too much heat, too close to a window.
You could try 1T epsom salt/gallon of water; I (try to) use this each spring to help the plants tolerate both higher light and warmer temps outdoors. The extra manganese can also green up the foliage. Can't hurt, anyway.
