Dockrillia cucumerina is a gorgeous miniature. I had the change to get it back in February but passed on it. Hopefully soon.

Now that has got to be the most awesome orchid I've ever seen! Looks more like a succulent than an orchid.

I wouldn't have realised it was an orchid at all from the leaves. The flower gives it away though.

What a cool orchid!

Well, I have only killed it twice so I'm wanting to try it again. Nice plant for sure.

I was at a show once and the cucumbers got very shriveled, brownish and had shrunken, so I squirted some water and forgot about them. Ten minuted later, they were nice and plump and greenish.

They only have tiny clinging roots, so mounting them would be good. But they do need moisture and they will let you know it.

I agree mounting them is the best way to grow this species. Let the plant get complete dry between watering, otherwise the plant will rot easily.

harley.
The best way to grow them is mounted. I guess in the photo they are in a 3" clay pot. But that's only because we planted them from flask into CP's. From there they will be mounted.
