Hi Sandy
I'm glad it all worked out...I was sure it would since the vendor was Brian (IncredibleOrchids) is an OB friend
OW has the following info for Den atroviolaceum (they don't list the full name you provided):
Light: 2000-3000 fc (says wide range of flour. lighting works too)
Temps: days 75-82, nights 67-71 with a diurnal range of 7-11 degrees
No specific humidity info for this one but the area it comes from gets around 70-80% year round.
This plant gets NO winter rest, keep moist but not soggy. It can grow in winter temps of 55 and tolerates down to 50 degrees.
Mounted is best, or use the smallest clay pot for the plant. Fast-draining medium.
I'm looking up the info for Den eximium now
Okay...
the second parent has basically the same info as above. It does not mention anything about taking the 50 degree temps and says you should use a basket or small pot
