Default Dendrobium bracteosum (pink form)

OK, here's another plant I got from Andy's about 4 years ago. In the summer of 2006 it did produce one little cluster of flowers, but nothing since then. However, I did get some nice new canes during that period and, well... How do you like me now?

These are just starting, so I'll be sure to follow up with more pics when the flowers are fully open. I'm just so damned excited I had to go ahead and share now. The longest cane is less than a foot long.

Enjoy!

Good for you!
I bought a mixed basket of bracteosum last year and in the fall/winter only the white ones bloomed. I just happened to look the other day and I have 5 pink clusters and 11 white clusters all crammed in the same little 4inch wooden basket!

Very cute. I really like the plant but can't seem to get mine to bloom. It has about a dozen 14" canes with five new growths just starting. I gave it a dry rest for about two months during the winter. It's supposed to bloom in the summer so maybe I still have a chance.
