Default Dendrobium secundum

Commonly known as toothbrush orchid, this orchid bloom on a leafless cane. Even though this orchid can be found in Java island, it's not popular around here due its habit of shedding the leaves before blooming. The leafless cane does look horrendous but look what beauty emerge from it. Flowers are very small but put quite a show with the bright colors.

Grown mounted on a tree under natural shade. Usually bloom during transitional period between rain and dry season and vice versa.

Beautiful, does it bloom from a node or on a terminal spike?

I have several plants of this species.
Some of them bloom in late spring while other bloom in early spring. The photo above is like that of my sping toothbrush dendrobium.
