Default Den ray tonukaga x silver wings

I cannot take credit for blooms on this plant. I got it Feb 9th with a couple of open blooms and several buds.

It has not dropped a bloom yet! And a few buds are still slowly opening - It's been four months!

First pic is from a few days after bring this baby home.
Second pic was taken today - same blooms!

I love my Roy Tokunaga crosses. Roy's father, Hiroshi is an honored member of the Maui Orchid Society. Roy spoke to our club last year and had some really great culture tips. He has consinced a lot of us to convert to growing certain types including our Roy Tokunagas with very little media - just uppotting with wedges of styrofoam and lots of room for free exposed roots.

I bet they'd do great in EpiWeb chunks!

Rabbit you will find orchids from the Latoria section bloom for an incredibly long time. I have an atroviolaceum that bloomed for 7 months straight. It's growing new growths now but will most likely be in bloom again before the summer is out. I need some more of these!

Yes I had read the latourias can be in bloom for 3 months or more - didn't expect it to hold the blooms so nicely for so long I guess - gonna be more than 4 months now and still is opening a few that were buds when I got it.
I love the look of latourias as well - so do want more
I got a atroviolaceum v pygmy in march - it has been blooming continuously since then - but some blooms fade but plant just keeps spiking! but it isn't holding the same blooms for all that time - I love it just the same! lol
I also got Den Aussie Chip at the same time as the atroviolaceum and it too has been continously blooming!

I am definitely on the look out for more!

So - wedges of foam for potting? Haven't repotted mine yet - so would like recommendations for these babies

Thanks all!

LOL I know the feeling - I previously haven't had much luck with dens - but only tried one for quite some time. I am hoping that trying different types of dens will work out
Haven't had this one too long - hope I can get it to bloom next year

I think this is really stunning, love the colors. Are these easy to grow?
