Den (Hawaiian Heart x Ahulani Hinojosa)
My friend Linda (catlady on OB) gave me a division of this lovely Den last year. This is the first time it has bloomed for me. The color is so intense, very deep maroon color with a lighter yellowish band just barely rimming the edge of the petals. The up-close picture is the true color (at least it is on my monitor )

Way Cool! I love the look of the screen in the background, makes it look like a Chinese/Japanese print.

You do have a lot of monsters lurking in that section of the room!
I think I'll start referring to your pool as Loch Ness...

Very nice Susanne. The Den Phals are such rewarding plants to grow because they bloom profusely the flowers last forever and the range of colors is unlimited. I think my favorite color is the black/purple. You have to look close to be sure it is purple and not black, which, of course, does not exist in a flower.
