It is quite easy to bloom the species here in Taiwan. It needs a lot of sunlight to grow and bloom. The light level for this one should be like that for common cattleyas. Regular fertilizing is also helpful.
Compared with other tropical dendrobiums, Dend. secundum tolerates well in winter and does not have long winter rest. And while it is growing, I usually water the plants regularly even in winter.
