Den lichenastrum v. prentecei
This one is really cute...but it smells like low-tide up close
I recently moved it to a new mount, a piece of cholla wood, and wasn't expecting to see blooms so quickly but there are one or two other buds

Hi Joann
The chids that I've mounted or planted in/on the cholla wood all seem to love it. I got a box of 10 mixed pieces, all around 20 inches long and it was pretty inexpensive. My husband easily cuts them down to what ever size I need. It's rather hollow so I even have a few planted in the end, like a pot with lots of holes

They do tend to surprise you when they flower. I have a var. lichenastrum myself. Much smaller leaves and creates a mat across the mount. Flowers look almost identical. I haven't noticed any scent though.
