Epigeneium triflorum var. orientale Male
Default Epigeneium triflorum var. orientale

Most of species in this genus have short-lived flowers, but this one has very long lasting flowers(~6-7 weeks)

Gorgeous plant and flowers. I've heard how this are rather short lived, so it's nice to know of a longer flowering variety. You seem to grow many dends/their relatives - any chance you'd know of any diplocaulobiums that also have longer lived flowerS?

"I've heard how this are rather short lived, so it's nice to know of a longer flowering variety."

If the flowers are short lived, then it is not E. triflorum then. A couple of those have very similar flowers.

"any chance you'd know of any diplocaulobiums that also have longer lived flowerS?"

Not really. Most of them only last a day. I only have three or four of Dip. species. The flowers on my chrysotropis last about 5 days. I heard D. regale would last for five days or so under good growing condition.

I meant to say "this genus" instead of "this"

Cool - good to know. It's a pity they are so fleeting

Default diplocaulobium stelliferum

Hi,

I just purchased a bare root Diplo stelliferum. after only being on its mount for 2 weeks it is already blooming. I have a feeling that the fleeting flowers occur frequently.
