This Intermediate grower needs good air movement. I keep it moist (but not wet, it will rot the new growths and roots if you keep it too wet) during the growing season. In the fall, I gradually reduce the water and fertilizer. Once the leaves start to drop, I reduce the water further to once every 10 days(in my growing condition). I increase the watering to once a week when I see the flower buds.
Yes, you may keep it cooler during the semi-rest period.
