Dendrobium 993
I was fortunate to get a few orchids from the late Jack Webster's estate sale back in Sept. His son John was a great help in suggesting culture requirements but this Den was only identified as #993. But no matter.
This is an 8" pot and the plant is about 12" high and spreads about 20". As suggested I was growing it outside in the yard. With the cooler temps moved it to a sunporch to keep temps above 40 F. With the oncoming artic cold we will receive, I went to move it inside. And discovered multiple flower spikes. I was expecting flowers closer to the spring when the plant could be outside, sunny and warm.
Any help in what the plant requires now (light, temps, water, fert) would be appreciated.
The 1st photo shows plant overall-the dried flower spikes from last spring were still on so i left them to give me an idea of what to expect.
The 2nd photo shows an old cane, you can see the dried spikes from the crown and new spikes lower between the leaves.
The 3rd photo tries to show a new cane with a heavier spike just starting from the crown.
Thanks for any help.
