Miniature Antelop Type Dens
Hey,
I'm a fan of miniature antelope type Dens... kinda like Den Pixie Princess. I have mostly Phals, so I'm not too savy on where to get anything but those. Does anyone have any recommendations on where I can buy these type plants. Any recommended cultivars?
Thanks,
Ben

I was searching for my next purchase online earlier and I saw some nice antelope-type dendrobiums on Exotic Orchids of Maui. There prices are great, and they get an A+ for service and quality (according to others who have ordered from them here on OB), but the shipping is a little high. I'm going in with friends to make an order sometime soon. Perhaps if you have someone you can do that with also it might be worth your while. Anyway, you can check them out. Hope that helps.

Hey thanks!
Actually, I think they are usually at Redlands, and I'm going. I can check out their page, and if there is something I really want, maybe I can ask them to bring it and save me some shipping

Hey Ben,
I like the Den. Samarai x self. The
Den. Waianae Profusion x Den. Odom's Tourmaline is OK. But those are the only two 'antelops' I see.

I had a Dend. antennatum years ago that I loved, and it always was in bloom, but it was huge. Thanks for the idea of putting mini antelopes on my shopping list.

Check out Andy's - he should be at Redlands too.

Hi Ben,
I just recently posted a picture of Den. Banana Royal on another thread. It stays small, blooms a lot and smells like honey and shouldn't be too hard to find. I also posted some other antelopes that were from Exotic Orchids of Maui and they bloom profusely and frequently but they are over four feet tall. If you can find Kathy Beck, it is a purple that blooms on a four inch plant. Also very nice, but not an antelope is Den. Minnie Moonlight, a white with a purple eye and very small growing (8").
Another picture of Den. Banana Royal.
