Default Den. NOID needs ID

Hello I just picked up this irresistable den the other day for $15. Unfortunately it did not have a tag, but I could not pass it up. It was so cute! It has a nice floral fragrance, reminds me of some flower, maybe a hyacinth? Just guessing. Anyway, the plant had a whopping 9 spikes, but two looked a bit poor, so I removed them. Anyway, here are some pics. The seller said he thought it was a species, but I don't know if he really knows or not. Any help is appreciated. I really want to figure out how to properly care for this beauty!

That's a pretty flower. It looks to me like Dendrobium kingianum v. alba. They make a nice display. Congratulations !!!!

Oh thank you! I will put the name on my list as a possible name for this guy. I nearly fell over when I saw it at the store. I just love it!

Can anyone give any culture advice? Medium, light, fert, does it need a rest, etc. Thanks!

I agree, looks like kingianum to me too. Intermediate temps and very bright light. OW says anywhere from 2500-4000 fc. Needs a cool dry rest in winter. Great find!!

Thanks for the tips. I am glad you told me about the rest, because that is something I have a hard time remembering if I don't set those guys aside. I will add that info to my list. Thanks!

Yup, I'd agree with kingianum. Or, possibly speciosum-kingianum cross. I have one that's got flowers pretty much identical to yours. Great fragrance, and a ton of spikes.
