Nice job Jackie! I've read the blooms don't last very long so do keep us posted!

Mine had 5 spikes started, blasted one and a bud on another. I wonder if my night temps are too cold for it?

Thanks everyone!
She has 3 spikes on her, and about 40-50 flowers.
One spike opened last week, I just waited to take a picture of it until a second spike opened up. So I'm heading to 2 weeks, so far.
I'll keep ya's posted on how long.

Yellow flowers are my favorite. They always look so cheerful and this one is no exception. I have one in a pot and one on a slab. The one in the pot never blooms and the mounted plant blooms very well.

Orchidegg, they require a dry winter rest and very bright light in the winter to bloom. An occasional misting and cooler temps are also needed.

Jerry once you see spikes and or buds do you start watering again? The reason I ask is I have lost 3/5 spikes, and I can't figure out why. A guy in my society said he doesn't water until the flowers are nearly open.

Just so you know it's now called Dendrobium lindleyi.

I think your flowers look awesome, one of the most spectacular Den's I know of.

My Den is hanging/mounted in my chid hotel.
And on a regular basis, she has gotten watered every Sunday morning during the cold.
Fert weakly, every other week, through the winter/cold months.
Watered every other day to daily in warm months.
Fert weakly/weekly then.
She turned out happy
