Thanks to everyone!
I tried to find information about Den. kingianum in the wild. Or it's hard to find, or I don't search well enough :-)

I noticed several spikes in between the leaves and the amount of flowers indeed seems as Roy wrote +/- 5.

I'm happy with the plant. I hope it will grow for me and that I don't kill it!

It is a beautiful plant. May I ask who the seller was?? I think I know already, but just wanted to check, as I had been looking at them also.

It will be hard to tell whether it is a species or a hybrid but it is certainly a kinginaum. Looks to me like you got a great plant! Very full, lots of spikes - the fragrance is great on these as well. I am lucky enough to be able to grow this plant outdoors in my yard protected from frost (only because I am overly protective - they can take it!). You should have a great set of flowers very soon - congrats and enjoy!

Hello Janet,
the seller is the Epric Foundation (epric_stichting on eBay). They mainly have cacti and succulents but also have a few orchids in their green houses.

After a week I was not that satisfied anymore with this eBay vendor. The plant came with aphids but worse, the plant had sever root rot.
He didn't leave a comment for me as buyer, but when I placed a follow up comment, he made a positive comment (buyers can't leave negatives) with negative statements, saying I'm a liar etc.
Upon arrival from the plant, when I noticed the aphids and a strong smell coming from the pot, I contacted the seller by phone and he said they only used 'spiritus' to treat aphids. That was the smell that came out of the pot!
It's the first and last plant I bought from them. I hope the Den. kingianum will recover :-( I wonder if the bad roots might be a case of root burn too. I'm not sure about that but the rotted roots were obvious. Reason: a lot of foam under the base of the plant, which something that seemed to be sand but could have been old orhid mix too, but it felt more like sand between my fingers than something else.

Grrrrrr.... I'm *not* amused.

I shouldn't have bought from him in the first place. He has some comment fights going on as a buyer and seller... I should have been allarmed by that!
