Default Den. Nobile flowers spent what next???

Hi I recently purchased a noid Den. Nobile at TJ's in full bloom it was beautiful. Now the blooms are falling off and there are just a few left so my question is what do I do now with it. Here are pictures of it in full bloom and now that most blooms are gone.

Thanks
Sheridan

Hi Sheridan. It should go into an active growth cycle if it hasn't already. Water and feed regularly until about the end of August. Then suspend fert, but keep watering. Around Halloween it needs to go to a very cool spot (low 50s) with very bright light. Suspend watering until you start to see buds. That should be somewhere around Valentines Day. I watered both of mine very lightly a couple of times in that 3 month period. HTH

Thanks Teri, are you saying that the old cane will bloom again?

The old cane will only bloom if it has nodes that haven't bloomed before. The nodes are located on the opposite side of the cane from the leaf. Is it starting a new growth from the base yet?

Teri, It has 4 new growths which are about 3 to 4 inches high. I will check the main cane to see if there are any areas that will bloom.

Thanks so much.
