nice topic .Actually I am quite interested with this thread .
With my Dendrobium plant one flower spike arrived at the end of the stem .Now it is with blooms.
Again another flower spike is appeared on the side of the same stem as same as yours.
Wish you some flower spikes whole heartedly.
Yes spikes or kerkies could be appeared on your stem . But flower stems arrive more quickly.

This is a picture of the plant the keikis came on last year. It has also sent out nubbins. One is much more advanced than the others. Maybe keikis come later than flowers...

I have no idea, Cam. But it looks promising to me. Just don't water. That really looks like the way my nubbins started out. Cross your fingers!

I am watching this thread with great interest too. My dendro is in the garage getting it's winter chill and not enough light me thinks. I think I will bring it in and put it in a bright spot. All these pictures have me inspired. Yvan's blooms are beautiful! Carol

For my keikis which have the larger nubbins, is is early enough to start watering more often? I still cant tell exactly what they are, but they are pretty big...

I will take another picture of it tomorrow morning . These things do like taking their time

Thanks, Cam

I'm 99% sure that they'll be buds. It takes a while for them to develop. I had to wait for like 1 month before the buds developed. but at last They started forming about 4 days ago. I can't wait to see the blooms !!!!!

Here it is this morning. Has a few yellowing leaves, but that is just probably normal since it is in a drought period.

Yeah! Nice, Cam. I do think you've got buds a-comin'. Just don't water! My understanding is to wait to water until the buds are very clearly formed as individual buds. (I've also read to not water until you see new cane growth from the base of the plant.) Lookin' good, Cam!

I think I'm seeing the same thing on mine
I'll have to get some pics to post while I'm at work tomorrow.

My question is about how long should I have to impatiently wait for blooms?

I'm wondering if I should start watering mine again--the new cane growth appeared before the nubbins
