shakkai, this Dend is fantastic. I've not seen one of these before and I think I need one. Really! The blooms are so pretty but the canes are what I really find so cool about this plant. Love it and that planter is perfect.

What are the care requirements for this one?

You did a really great job with this!!!

Hi Sandy! Mine is a fantastic little plant. From the bottom of the canes hanging down to the top of the pot its only 9 inches total. This species is very variable, though, so the size of plants (and blooms) really varies. As far as cultural requirement, it seems to be extremely adaptable. Sue has been growing this one in Florida for a while now (and has added another one), whereas mine is in cool conditions, relatively bright light, ample water in summer when its growing new canes. Its growing in moss, so it stays fairly moist. In the winter, starting in November, I give it a drier period, letting the moss dry out completely and stay dry for a couple of days before watering again. Now that the flowers have opened, I will start watering it more, though it is still cold here, so I won't resume 'normal' watering until late Feb or early March.

Wow! That is a real cutie. And the pot makes a perfect companion. Wonderful job you did with this one.

Awesome!
One of mine has 2 buds started on it, so I totally have my fingers crossed, as I've never actually seen the flowers in person. Let's hope that it survives the cold snap due to hit here later this week!
