Hey there, Cam! That could indeed be the beginning of bud formation. However, it could also be the beginning of keiki growth. Too early to tell. Whatever it ends up being, we can definitely say that it's the beginning of a nubbin!

Well I am pretty sure it is a keiki, since this plant was growing well into december, and I therefore could not start the winter rest ( I bought it and re-potted it in the summer, so the new growth started late).
Anyways, I'll have to wait and see!

I am in kind of the same situation...nubbins have started sprouting from the nodes in the tops of the two newest canes on my Den. Pixie Charm. He's been getting the winter rest, but I'm thinking it may be early for him to actually be pushing buds.
Nubbins for the time being!

Both of my nobiles are pushing buds right now. It's earlier than last year, but then it seems like a lot of my plants are blooming/spiking earlier than last year.

Whygreenberg: My Pixie Charm has open blooms already, but tons of buds developing, so yours are probably buds.

Ooh, Dale! Well, that's very exciting! I've been anxious about the possibility that it had decided to throw keikis instead. I think it's still too early for me to call based on how it looks, so I shall just have to wait and see. But that gives me hope!
