Default Den Anosmum//Should I water?

Bought this at the FVOS Oct 26. Chap who sold it to me said he had stopped watering at the end of summer. That I should start watering just about Valentine's day onward. Well on pendent cane has lost all of its leaves, the other still has leaves. BUT there are buds forming now. So should I wait. Any help , suggestions are most welcome. Thanks in advance

I cant tell if thats a bud or not (fuzzy pic) but if you are absolutely sure that it is a bud, then you can begin watering. If it could be a bud or it could be a keiki, then wait until it has formed into one or the other. Hopefully youve got an early bloomer. Nice!

Just checked my anosmum and both plants have flower buds emerging. This is way early, and I wonder if it's a response to all the cold we've had? Normally I don't see buds till March or so.

I'd say withhold all water until the buds are expanded to at least 1/2" or so. This will prevent potential bud blast. Then carefully start watering like 3 times a week. Once the flowers are out and the new canes are growing start upping the water and start fertilizing.
