Thumbs down Den.Bullenianum,Den.Miyakei

Hi Guy's,
Can some one advise me about the type of medium and cultural practices of growing those two species.
I am growing them on a tree fern slab and they are very slow to grow.

Veekay,

Den.miyakei, is a native species in my country-Taiwan and Den.bullenianum is from our neighbor- the Philippines.
Though they from different locations, they can be grown under the same condition.
Both these two species are warm or hot growers, liking semi-shade condition and no direct sun exposure.
Unlike nobile-type dendrobiums, they do not need dry rest in winter, but if the winter temp. in your area will drop under 10-12 degree Celsius, decreasing watering will be helpful. The plants like higher humidity than other nobile-type dendrobiums. There is another extra bonus that with good care, they could bloom for several times in a year.

Veekay,
Both the two species will tolerate temporal lower temperature. Where I live, the winter night temp. recently is often down to 8-10 degrees Celsius but in daytime, the temp. is rise to 20 degrees Celsius or higher.
But if the winter daytime temperature is lower than 10 degrees Celsius averagely, some protective equipments are needed.
