Den Zengyo Pink
This is another of the giant Dens I have, over 5 ft tall with the spikes. There are 4 or 5 spikes...and one broke off last week when this and the other giant got knocked over by a massive wind that came through the one window I had open in the room! Surprisingly, that was the only damage

Susanne,
Sorry to hear about the damage to this giant...but it still looks like it's going to put on quite a show!
I love the soft pinks in the flower of this one.

It amazes me that there was no additional damage...when this and the other 5 ft monster fell, I heard the crash from inside my house and thought it was a car accident outside!

Hello, this is just a comment from Clare from Devon.
'Don't know who Wanda is but she is so right; Orchids are like potato chips.....you can't have just one.
I've just started and feel as if I need to read about, or see, or fuss, or even just talk about orchids to someone...

No, this one and the other giant are usually out by the pool, full Florida sun except for the 20% shading from the screen enclosure. Once the first cool night hits, I move them into the room until Spring, just because they're too big and heavy to move back and forth.
A little tip: For large plants such as these that sit on the floor, I attach a double hanger to the pot, tie a few of the canes to it and use it as a handle. Makes moving them around much easier
Thanks for all the nice comments everybody

She's a beauty, Susanne! The damage could have been so much worse, you were lucky!
