Ross to me it smells like anis estrellado. I don't know how to say it in english. I'm guessing that it's written almost the same.

Don't know what the hedge is. Here in my backyard they love chamomille and at my aunt's house they love a little pink flower growing on a vine on her hedge.

I was actually watching the bees yesterday go from flower to flower and there was one that was kind of dying. It couldn't fly so I left it seating on one of my Oncidium's flower.

Sorry, privet is from up north. Didn't realize you wouldn't recognize it, but others here might Now you know. I've asked lots of locals up here and we all agree - privet.

I got this plant in Sept. and it has bloomed non-stop since. But I didn't know it was a mini! The canes are sort of pendulous and 8"+ long and growing. I thought it was just young. I was thinking of mounting it in the spring because of the pendulous nature of the canes and I water it often anyhow. Any experience with it mounted?

Hi Karren

Could you post a picture of your plant? I don't think it's a pure Den oligophyllum...this plant should be no bigger than 4" and the bulbs would only be up to 1 1/2" long. They are also not pendulous.

Thanks...I'm very curious

To answer the mounting question, I have one of mine mounted and one potted.

As a general response to your question about mounting a pendulous plant, they almost always should or at least can be mounted.

OK, here are some pics.

The ruler is 6". I looked in Dendrobium and its relatives by Lavarack, Harris, Stocker and it looks right.
