Dend flowering now??

Hi all I have a dend that I bought not in bloom about 5 years ago, this was my first one and I have NEVER seen it bloom. Now I know we are comming up on the resting season for these guys but my heart is torn... I really want it to flower, But I dont know if it's better for me to cut off the spikes and let it rest or just let it do it's thing??

Princess if your den is spiking now it is not the type of den that needs a cool dry winter rest. It is most likely a phal type den and should be spiking now.

If it has the energy to spike, you have grown it correctly. Enjoy your blooms.
