Default Dendro Aussie Chip: winter rest?

Hello all! I recently acquired a Dendrobium Aussie Chip. Anybody know if this little guy needs a serious winter rest, like so many of the other Dendros? I did some research into the parents (aberrans and atroviolaceum), and from what I read, both seem to appreciate less water in winter; but I take it that doesn't mean bone-dry, like the cane types? Thanks for the input!

no serious rest, just reduce water
it's a Latouria type, if you're going by the AOS culture sheet
Type III if you're going by The Six Horticultural Groups of Dendrobium.

Neither parent likes to dry out completely at any time. You obviously won't have to water as much in the cooler months as you would in the warmer months. That's a neat little plant. I really like it.

Not a bad price, either: six bucks on eBay, and it's in great shape with numerous new growths and great roots. Not typically a big Dendro fan, but figured for that price I'd give it a shot.

I think you'll find it's pretty easy to grow.
