Default Winter rest but new growth - help!

I just finished the greenhouse a few weeks ago and have moved all of the "outside" orchids into it as temperatures are in the low 50s to high 40s at night now.

All of my dendros are starting to go into winter rest and slowly their leaves (from the bottom of the plant up) are turning yellow and falling. I am reducing water and cutting out fertilizer (but keeping humidity up).

However, my Dendro Tomie Drake was following along as expected then, just in the last few days, started new growth. What?!?!

Do I begin fertilizing it because of the new growth? Do I just treat it like it is going through rest as I was planning?

Orchids, they are like children. As many books as you may read it doesn't prepare you for actually raising them.

Dendro Tomie Drake: isn't it a Phalaenopsis type dendro? I think they do not need a real winer rest... but am not really sure (am not a Dendros expert)... check the thread http://www.orchidboard.com/community...endrobium.html go for Type VI

Doing a quick name search and its either a Phal type or intermediate type and I would be of the same thoughts, these plants are continuous growers. Yes they will loose some lower leaves but constant growth it would be.
Dormancy would only occur if your growing temp was too cold. These are HOT growing...min 18c. (64F) at nite to do any good at all.
