My patience was rewarded one month later, as it was a profusion of blooms!

Laura, is yours mounted and if so what is it mounted on? It looks like tree fern or epiweb in the background.

LauraN, that show on your "huge" Dendrobium pachyphyllum must have been amazing!!! not only the many flowers but also the strong fragrance...

my plant bloomed this morning (I must admit I had not even noticed it was in buds!). When I went to my orchids bench to spray some of my minis I felt that strong "orange blooms" frangrance in the air, and thought it was my Blc. Ports of Paradise 'Green Ching Hwa' (which is also in bloom and is very very fragrant!). my surprise was that it actually came from that tiny flower! I even took the plant with me to another room, in order to confirm it was it and not other plant... WOW!
