Smile Finally I've Got Blooms!!

Everyone a while back I commented about a Den. that I have had for at least 3 years. It just sat there and did nothing. I purchased it with two canes and that is what it has now BUT!!! now I have a flower spike and 10 flowers

I attribute these flowers to the repotting in the s/h medium which I did in March. I have never seen the flower color and I am really pleased. Take a look at the hope you all enjoy them as much as I am.

Sheridan

Thanks Yvan, I am glad I don't through out non-performers. As long as their green they stay put. I didn't even threaten this 'chid' .

Spectacular color and form, Sheridan! I do love Dendrobiums, however I haven't quite mastered their needs. Mine are always green and healthy looking, but don't bloom that much. Well, two out of seven bloom. Guess I can't complain. You have a real beauty there!

Wink

everyone it was a long time coming. The color was a surprise to me I was expecting two colors due to the name Odom Tu-Tone.

Kiki - what medium do your have your Dens. in? Nothing happened with my Dens. until I repotted them in s/h. I had one very large Den. that I split up and repotted in s/h and there is new growth all over the place. I love the stuff (s/h)

Nice one from the Spatulata group Sheridan! The color is outstanding! Could be the wrong tag in your pot or the color of the flower will change as it ages. All my Dens are in CHC and doing great. They've all bloomed this year so I'm not gonna mess with success!
