Oh no!!! Are they outside? I don't grow anything outside anymore, just for that reason. I'm so sorry Spray that baby with insecticide and get them off of there!! Mealies are the worst, I feel for you!!

First I thaught its keiki .And am happy about the spike and then buds.
But now.... bugs I hate now. I have the same question .i got a lil growth in the middle of the cane .Kerki or spike ????.

i sprayed and there is a new growth that is about 2 inches long coming out!

Hey Bonsai1504, I noticed in your first picture some "blue yarn" that you used to tie up your den. No offense, this is just a suggestion. I found out that dark green crochet thread works great and hardly noticeable.
