I see this is an old thread yet I thought some of you might be around to offer some assistance. I have a D. m. Kibana sekkoku that I got last summer, very thin in the stems, so being new to D. m. culture I did not water it much. It did flower yellow and then slowly over last winter it dried with only a small portion remaining alive. I have been nursing it outside in mainly shade and in a clear plastic cup and it now has 2 small > 1/2 in. growths on it. I do cover the cup partially so humidity stays high. With fall/winter coming I think I should keep moisture with it and gro it as I can this winter? Anyone have this cultivar? Thanks. Ted
