Belong to soft-cane dendrobiums, this species comes from Thailand and usually flowers in early summer here.
The spikes appear on the upper pseudobulbs and each spike bears 3 or 4 blooms. The flower is scentless but can last for more than 3 weeks.

Neverend, the species does not need lower winter temperature to facilitate blooming. You may try this one if you are fond of soft-cane.

Does it require a constant drop in night temperatures? Otherwise it sounds good for me

My friends that live in south Taiwan have successfully bloom this species for many years.
The species is also from north Malaysia where the winter night temperature does not drop too low. So I think the one may do well in your country.
But do not forget to keep them dry after it finishes growing in late autumn.
