This is the second time this year that it is flowering, this time on 4 canes with 72 buds! The flowers will turn a darker yellow as they age.
However, hardly any leaves left, hope it will make new canes?

Spectacular! These begin making new canes in Spring, when it gets warmer and days are lengthening.

Many Dens in this group bloom on leafless canes, sometimes over several years. So don't ever cut the canes until they are withered and light brown, because they might bloom again, and if not they are still providing energy and hydration to plant as long as they're plump. (I don't consider any of these "dead" until they have sayed dead for a year, though a full growing season.)
