Default Dendrobium maleezuki

I'm having a hard time sourcing information and purchasing Dendrobium maleezuk on the world wide web.

Does this Den go by another name? I have seen this for sale once on Facebook Marketplace and it was quickly snatched up.

The only reference I turned up was a post in French about a seedling in “my collection”. The accompanying photos make me think it is a pretty typical hybrid akin to Dawn Marie and/or Frosty Dawn.

It is unfortunately common for nurseries in Europe to ignore naming conventions and merely assign cultivar names.

I'm wondering if this is actually meant to be Dendrobium suzukii? IOSPE PHOTOS

Note, orchidspecies states this may actually be a hybrid as it's never been found in the wild - may explain why it looks like the Dawn Maree/Marie hybrid.

Annnnddddd... a little more digging and orchidroots has this listed as offspring of suzukii: Dendrobium Hsinying Mareezuki orchid images, lineage and ancestry

So, I think it's 'mareezuki' and there was a typo.

Not really sure this has anything to do with European nursery labelling... could just be someone writing it wrong on a forum somewhere. Some EU nurseries seem to have this cross available, but the OP is based in Australia.

I'd bet your D. Hsinying Mareezuki is correct. Nice detective work.
