I bought this one in bud a few weeks ago. Now it's blooming.

Very, very nice. Where did you get this one? How are you growing it?

Looks very different than my rigidum (which hasn't bloomed). Mine leaves are shorter, fatter, and more purple. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.

You're right Yvan, I got this one from Oak Hill. It's growing in my grow room where the temps range from low 60's at night to mid to upper 70's daytime, humidity 50-65%. I use a 1000w MH HID for lighting and the plant is 5-6 feet from the light and off to one side so it doesn't get the light direct.

I just got one of these from Oak Hill Gardens too. . .same mount.

They've got May special on these. I bought the Den rigidum and a Leptotes bicolor.

Speaking of Leptotes bicolor.... I love mive. I bought it back when we were trying to pick the project plant, and now it's got new growths!

You're not growing it improperly, you're just growing yours brighter...here's what Andy's says about them:

"drought tolerant creeping branching pendulous stems produce a single thick succulent 1" leaf which is gray-green spotted with purple when grown bright, short spikes with numerous clusters of charming 3/4" flowers, sepals and petals are creamy-white and spreading, lip is bright red, very easy grower, fragrant and free-flowering"

Warning. . .minor hijack below:

Did you leave your Leptotes bicolor mounted? I've heard they prefer being mounted but I want to pot mine in an Erin pot. lol

Quickly returning to the subject at hand. Here's a pic of my little rigidum! I love it! Thinking of potting this one up too.
