Default Dendrobium Nobile does not grow

I kept a pie e of dendrobium nobile alive, and cut off a bulb that had developed new roots. But there is no progress in growing.
I kept it indoors on a south facing window sill but shaded.
Potted in small bark pieces.

Shoukd I water it more or cover in plastic to keep humid?

First, Welcome!

When dormant, these don't want much water. Summer should be the growing season, but it may not have had the strength. Let it be lightly moist but not wet, maybe next spring you'll get some action.

You should really not cut at them, not until they are pretty big, and only then should you seperate developed keikis. I had old canes give birth to a new plant, but that was after suffering damage with a heafty root ball.

Other than that, just do as Roberta said; she be an orchid messiah.

This is very true! There is a huge amount of orchid knowledge on the board and Roberta is definitely someone who REALLY knows what she's talking about!

I think it's more of how friendly she is and willing to share knowledge. Took me cca 2 months to see results in my brassia after randomly heeding something she said.
