What kind of Dendrobium is this???
I posted this the other day in the identification section but I thought this would be a better place for the question.
Hello,
I just want to start out by saying thank you to all that contribute to this site. You don't know how many people you help. I picked this up at a local nursery today and I am not sure what it is. It is about 10" tall. I believe it to be a Den. Phal but with my limited knowledge, I really don't know. If anyone knows the actual name, that would be great.
Thanks,
Neil

Can't give the actual cross name, but it is a nobile type for sure, not a phal type

Probably a primary cross between Dendrobium nobile (section Dendrobium) and Dendrobium fairchildae (section Calcarifera).
IOSPE PHOTOS
Both are deciduous with a definite winter rest period. Grow in moderate to bright indirect light. It's most likely an intermediate to warm grower.

Oh, yeah...you're pot's too big. You can grow three or four of the Dendrobium you currently own in the pot you have it in.
To give you an example, I grow a 2' tall Dendrobium hancockii with roughly 8 canes, in a 4" pot.
My 5" to 6" Dendrobium fytchianum I grow in a 2" pot.

Thanks for the information. This is the pot that it came in from the nursery. I have repotted Phals and Paphs but I have yet to do a Den. Actually this is my first Den so not really sure what mix to pot it in. It has three new growths so should I try to repot it or wait until the rest period. Thanks again for the help.

Don't know what it is, but I just wanted to pipe in and say I like your sense of taste! This is a lovely den! The colors are purty.

Ideally repotting should be done during dormancy. But if you grew yours in that "oversized" pot until winter, it may not even make it till then.
I would repot. The flowers may drop, but better to have the plant so that it can bloom again than worry about the flowers.
