I would repot. The flowers may drop, but better to have the plant so that it can bloom again than worry about the flowers.
I would tend to disagree with a few of these points.... Ive always waited for active growth to repot so that the roots can take hold of the media right away and help get the plant established. The few times Ive repotted during dormancy made the plant pout and take longer (IMO) to establish itself. Also, while the pot is definitely too big for the plant, Im not sure that it will die by this winter because of it! Basically, again this is IMO, if your plant has a small growth, repot it in a slightly smaller pot. Allowing for a few years growth is ok though! If the new growth is well along with regards to size, just wait to repot until you see a new one coming along. Its still early in the growing season.

My experience has been similar to Steves. I repotted 2 of my dens during active growth and into pots that I'm sure were too large. That was last June. Not only are they still alive and kicking, they have put out a tremendous amount of new growth (roots and vegetative) and they are both in bloom right now. I figure I've got at least 2 years worth of growth before I'll have to repot them again. One is a phal type, and the other is from the Nigro Hirsute group. Both are evergreen.

What medium is your plant potted in? I would be more concerned with that than pot size.

Leaving the plant in an oversized pot for a long period of time creates uncertainty with the results of successfully growing the plant. That's why I said "may not" instead of "will not". "May not" states probability. "Will not" states certainty.

In my experience pot size and medium played a role with each other in healthy roots and healthy plants. This along with not overwatering helped things along.

There's a larger chance to overwater regardless of medium if your pot is too big for the plant. But if your pot is just right, and your medium retains too much moisture, then you run the risk of rotting the roots out. If you pot just right and your medium retains the right amount of moisture, but you water too frequently, the chances of rotting the roots out goes up too.

If all three are in balance, roots stay healthy and beautiful.

As a reminder, the flowers MAY drop if repotted while in bloom.

I didn't say with certainty that the flowers WILL drop if repotted while in bloom.

I also advised to go ahead and repot right away.

The plant seems to be doing well in the large pot although I must admit it looks a little odd. Roots look healthy and there are 3 new growths. I am going to get it adjusted to its new surroundings for a few weeks and then I think I will reduce the pot size slightly. This should still give me a couple years growth. This is my first Den Nobile, so thanks for all the advice. I will let everyone know how it goes with this little guy.
