Dendrobium friedericksianum x nobile - Orchid Board

So I got this as a tiny grassy thing from Olympic Orchids in Oct 2022, and it's either multiple plants and/or way multiple growth points. 4 I think? In the mid fall, I noticed it was rooted tightly into the 2 inch pot, so I moved it into a 4, and it has already sent roots down out of the net pot. Seems a fast growing thing.
Not being familiar with nobile nor the other species, I'm not sure what to expect and when. I'm not impatient, but was surprised it's about 10 inches tall on the last PB to mature.
I'm thinking no flowers this year, but would it be reasonable to expect the possibility next year?

Since both parents bloom in the spring, it is very possible that this season (OK, it's "next year"...) you could see flowers. Sounds like a really vigorous plant!

Well I wouldn't complain if it flowers 'this' year (ie in next cpl months)..though by 'next year' I meant 2025 *lol* Yeah I'm ahead of the game for once.

10" / 25cm could be long enough to flower. These easily get two or almost three times as long as that.

Give it 6 weeks with night temperatures 55 F / 13C, plus bright light, for the best chance at flowering. Decrease watering during winter but don't keep it dry for long. It might drop leaves. That is OK.

Well, it didn't make any flowers, nor a whole lot of new top growth (compared to the year before), though I see roots in the net pot that weren't there when I repotted it. It's definitely showing more deciduousness than the year before..nearly leafless plump little canes.
Here's hoping this is the year

I'm surprised it didn't make much growth. Did you keep it inside or outside? Did you start watering when it began growing?

I keep all my orchids inside, because outside is slug haven and orchid media is especially good to hide/shelter them. And nothing worse than slugs/snails eating growing points on orchids ;(
And while definitely always still learning, yes, I think my culture is adequate (not excellent for sure), with regards to watering. This plant has been in my care for at least 3 years so I can kinda relate to it's growing speed/cycle. It was a 1-2 year old mericlone from Olympic orchids when I got it.
