Hi, relatively new orchid grower here. I got a few 'rescue orchids' several months ago and they all took off with healthy new growths, especially since the rainy season began in my region. Most are dendrobiums. This used to be the weakest looking out of the bunch... But now it was the first to reward me with a flower spike 😊. Does anyone have an ID for this besides just calling it a Denphal? I'm afraid I'm getting hooked on growing orchids now!
There are too many hybrids that look similar to make a guess about a name, but this one is a beauty! Yes, Denphal - the group of Dendrobiums with Den. bigibbum (also known as Den. phalaenopsis) as the dominant species. They all should love the climate where you live. Welcome to the orchid "habit" ... we're all enablers here.
