jiblylegs, the vendor that sold you that Dendrobium did a great job growing it. New growth on a sympodial orchid should be as tall or taller than the previous growth if it is happy. Even if it throws multiple leads you want two foot tall canes! Look at the bright side, that orchid will produce flowers from nodes all down that cane. Taller cane with more nodes equals more flowers. Nobile Dens are easy to grow outdoors Summer and Fall until temps hit the low 40’s and then can go in a sunny window until flowering!
