When is the best time to repot a dendrobium latouria chocolate chip? It’s been blooming for months. Just starting to drop flowers.

When it starts making new roots. The most sucfessful Latouria growers I know just unpot the plant without removing any medium, put it into a new, slightly larger pot, and backfill with new medium.

I will say I've done about everything to my first Latouria section (one of the 'Kings', don't remember just now) and nothing seems to kill it. Certainly repotting doesn't

Timing for repotting for Dendrobium in section Latouria is not critical. They are very sturdy. The key is not to damage a large amount of living roots while repotting.

If you feel more comfortable repotting when the roots are in active growth, that’s fine too.

Technically speaking, these Dendrobiums are not seasonal in growth pattern. They grow anytime during the year when they’re ready to grow.

I agree with everyone's responses. I would add that these plants should only be repotted when the latest growth is emerging from the edge of the pot. No need to increase pot size by more than an inch.
