Dendrobium Buttercup Male
Default Dendrobium Buttercup

In Sept 2020, I purchased from an ebay seller, Dendrobium Buttercup. At the time, I assumed it was a biggibum hybrid (due to shape of the flower). I was wondering why it hasn't flowered yet and recently looked it up and found it's a primary hybrid of (signatum (50%) x polyanthum (25%) x nobile (25%)). Assumptions...bad things.
Anyway, has anyone flowered this or a similar hybrid? In my conditions, it has almost matted across the 4 inch pot, but still has a year or maybe two growing space because it's only 3 inches or so high. It looks very healthy and the newest growths are just a bit bigger than the previous ones. I have not observed any dormant season, it does not lose leaves (though from ancestry it should likely be deciduous).
Once I finally looked up the ancestry, I wondered if I should be reducing water more. I do reduce water a bit as it gets colder and darker, but not that much.
Household temps, southern window (no sunburn), light fertilization. Wlsonara and dendrobium biggibum hybrid flowering beside it.
Thoughts? I mean wait another year and see what happens?

It's a Den. nobile hybrid. Look up my previous posts about Yamamato Dendrobiums - the original Yamamoto English Web site is gone.

They say fertilizing too late in the year is the commonest cause of failed flowering. Stop fertilizing in August. Winter water restriction is unnecessary and probably harmful. Cool night temperatures, 55 degrees F / 12C for a few weeks triggers flowering.
