Dendrobium shixingense

This one can get quite large--the latest growth is now more than 60 cm (or 2 feet) long, and very pendulous as the result. The flowers are about 4-5 cm across, surprisingly large, and each inflorescence bears about 5-6 flowers.

One thing I noticed is that the lips are quite mobile, reminiscent of Bulbophyllums; the lips wiggle up and down when shaken by winds, suggesting the possible role in pollination. The blooms are scentless, unfortunately.

Gorgeous and what an interesting note about the lip. I've gotten drunk with power concerning Dens. and my recent success with them has me desiring this one too!
