Dendrobium trantuanii
Default Dendrobium trantuanii

Here is a first blooming on a fun miniature, Dendrobium trantuanii. Its p-bulbs are flattened as if someone took a nobile cane and passed it through a pasta maker. It's odd looking! The flowers are waxy, fuzzy and resemble an insect...? somewhat. It smells like peppercorn with a hint of clove maybe...

I've been growing it outdoors, mounted, full sun and it seems to be drying out too much. May move it to a more shady location.

Very nice! I like things that look a little different, and I think I'd like that fragrance. Putting it on my list...

Guess I should ask first: how tall is it?
