Dendrobium Stardust "Firebird"
He is a floriferous dendrobium hybrid with wonderfully vivid colors. It is easy to grow and flower. I grow it outdoors all year long here in full sun.
I thought it had a nice fruity fragrance last year... but I don't detect anything this year.

Very nice! I'm guessing this is Dend. unicum x ? Do you know the parentage?

Thanks!
According to the patent for this plant (apparently people patent orchids?)... it is Dendrobium unicum × Dendrobium Ukon, which consists of:
Den. moniliforme
Den. nobile
Den. heterocarpum
Den. signatum

Very beautiful flowers! I love this color.
Mine had some problem this year and the buds didn’t grow enough. The flowers are small and lasted only a few days.
The yellow parent is fine.

These are the orange one. The buds opens and closes just in a few days. Some canes are rootless and falling. I’m planning to repot after blooming.
