Default Dendrobium leaves not opening

The leaves on one came of one of my dendrobium phalaenopsis don’t seem to be opening out. Any ideas as to why?

Welcome to the Orchid Board.

Several things come to mind. When mature these tend to have a fair amount of space along the pseudobulb between the alternating leaves. Before the growth matures the leaves appear to be bunched at the top, and often somewhat folded. They open flatter as growth matures. Maybe yours isn't finished growing?

If it's mature growth, perhaps it's dehydrated.

And there are some that always remain somewhat cupped.

Can you post photos? Sometimes you need 5 posts first.

It looks good to me... just needs time to fully open as the cane matures. Orchids are sloowwwww.

Agree with above.

This kind of Den. is susceptible to different bugs. The leaves in the bottom right corner of the photo show damage that could have been caused by spider mites. Look at the plant carefully.
