Den hancockii - This small to medium sized species grows on trees and rocks in several provinces in southern china at altitudes ranging from 200 to 1600m. The climate features warm moist summers and cool drier winters. The stems are slender, branched, swollen at the base and up to 30 cm long. There are many slender grass-like leaves up to 10 cm long and 3 to 6 mm wide, concentrated on the apical half of the stems. The inflorescences are borne along the stems and consist of 1 to 2 flowers each about 3 to 4 cm across. The flowers are fragrant and flowering occurs in spring and early summer. They are under threat in the wild.

In cultivation watering should be heavy through the spring and summer and reduced in winter, but plants should not be kept dry for extended periods. Cool to intermediate conditions with filtered light are recommended. Well drained medium or slab are suitable.

Den hainanense is showing this is either Dendrobium parciflorum or Dendrobium crystallinum var. hainanense or Den goldschmidtianum.
Do you have more specific information as to the color for further research?

WOW! Great! Thanks for the info! I was originally told they were drought tolerant, loved full sun and didn't like a whole lot of moisture. The more research I do (and the more people I speak to that grow them), the information I learn seems to point to nearly the opposite direction. My den. hainanense is throwing itself out at me with buds at the moment, yet my den. hancockii is barely growing new stems/roots. ??? I'll definitely try the sunny moist/humid route!
