Dendrobium Hilda Poxon 'SVO' x Dendrobium Yondi Tina 'Goliath'
Here are the first blooms on this Aussie Dendrobium hybrid from SVO. I love the starry golden yellow flowers on this one. Grows outdoors year round, in full sun, in San Diego, CA.

Thanks! Not really, there is a faint musky smell but that is it unfortunately.

Actually, it has a sweet floral fragrance now at midday. I'm generally not around to detect it at that time. I'm glad I caught it this weekend since the blooms are waning in the heat wave this week!

The season for Aussie Dendrobiums is kicking into gear... Lots of buds at my house. Yours is gorgeous - it's pure sunshine.

Thanks, I love Dendrobium season! My Jonathan's glory is starting to wind down while my speciosums are starting to spike now.
Started as a three p-bulb division and now a "bush"

I love Aussie Dens (but don't have any), and yours are spectacular looking! The starry golden flowers look like a mini fireworks display.

You should try one - Not all are speciosum size! Some of the hybrids (like the Jonathan's glory) are quite compact. I find it to be one of the easiest orchids to grow.
