Inobulbon (Dendrobium) munificum
Here's another oddball that has been lumped into Dendrobium. Inobulbulbon munificum has very fascinating hairy pseudobulbs - the "tresses" become more pronounced as the p-bulb ages, after the blooming. I grow it outside, and it is thriving, though it would probably do even better with a little shelter (like an unheated greenhouse). My winter temps usually are in the low 40's F (4-6 deg C), occasionally lower. I grow it fairly shady.

Nice! I saw that hiding in back but didn't see the spike.

That's the hairiest Dendrobium I've ever seen! Taxonomist must have been drinking, in my humble opinion!

I would dearly like to know what taxonomists come up with when they're drunk.
Maybe that's how we get to this Kamera lens - Wikipedia

"The taxonomy of this group is currently under revision so the position of the genus Kamera should not be regarded as being settled at the moment."
In other words... let's have another round boys!!

Look up how cactus genus Mammillaria got its name. Maybe why they're so popular.

That's magnificent, Roberta. Are the blooms fragrant?
